Today the topic I am going to cover is video marketing. I have only been using video marketing to market my business for a little over 2 months, but despite the fact that I am new to this marketing method, it has helped me to bring in quite a number of leads for my business.

I was first introduced to using videos to market my business when I joined MLMLeadSytemPro. At first, I was hesitant to use videos to market my business. Wait. Strike that. I did create one video, but the video did not include me in it. It was a video where I showed the MLM Lead System Pro website; the trainings offered, etc. Doing a video where I am not in it was fine with me. Why? Well, I am a very shy individual and the thought of having my face plastered all over on the internet did put fear in my heart. But, I got over this pretty quickly because I had heard of others who were achieving success using this marketing method, in particular my upline, Jim.

Another reason why videos are such a good way to market your business is because it is a way for others to connect with you. Building relationships is a very important aspect of marketing and business building because people don’t join businesses, they join people. And, people more often than not are more willing to purchase products, services or join a business opportunity when there has been trust established between you and your prospects. So, go on ahead and put your face out there. Let people know who you are and show them that you can offer them value. All of this shows that you are a leader, which is a quality many folks love and will follow. Exhibiting leadership qualities are what many people, especially those looking for a business opportunity, will flock to.

Now, there are many ways to in which to create a video. You can use a video camera. You can use your cell phone. Most cell phones, nowadays, have the capability of creating a video. I know mine does. You can also use a digital camera. All of these work.

As for me, I decided to use my computer and since I have a webcam on my laptop, I thought I would start from there. The problem I ran into was trying to find software to use that would allow me to create videos. I thought it was strange that my computer had a camera or a webcam but no way to use it. Thus, I started looking on the internet for software to use with my webcam. After much search, I finally found one. It is called “WinAVI Video Capture”. The best part is, it is also free.

Now, I know there are better tools to use for creating videos. One that comes to mind is Camtasia, but this tool can cost anywhere into the $300.00 range and more and I was not willing, in the early stages of building my business, to spend money on software; especially since I could get it for free and yes, this too is free.

Another tool, I use is called “Window Movie Maker”. If you have a windows operating system, most often this should already be installed on your computer.

Lastly, since there are media sites that do not accept videos in “.wmv” format, which is the format Windows Movie Maker generates, it is a good idea to get software that will convert videos into various formats. I use “AVS Video Converter”. Unfortunately, this tool is not free, but it is very inexpensive. I believe I spent maybe $29.95.

Now this is all that I use to create my videos. Once you have a topic in mind that you want to talk about, you use whatever tool you have available to create the video. What I do, is run the “WinAVI Video Capture” to record my video. Once I am satisfied with the video, most times it takes me 3 or more tries before I have a video that I am satisfied with.

After creating my video, I then used “Window Movie Maker to include titles on my videos; like my website url and other pertinent information. I then publish it and once you do this, the format will be in “.wmv”. This is why you need the converter because some sites won’t allow you to upload this format. Thus, you can use the tool to convert any video into any format.

Once I have created my video, the next step is to upload it to some media sites. First, you need to select some keywords for your video. In order to do this, I suggest you use Google Adwords Keyword tool (Google Keyword Tool External) or use WordTracker Keywords (Free Keywords WordTracker) Both will allow you to get some keywords for your topic. Also, whatever the topic of your video is, say it is about dog grooming, the description of your video should include a number of the keywords. Your title should also include your main keyword. All of these will help get your video on the first page of Google.

When you have uploaded you video to a particular media site, it is quite possible to see your video within a matter of minutes. I am not kidding. Today, I uploaded a video to Viddler.com and while I am still in Viddler, I see that it has already been viewed. Thinking that this is impossible, I go check to see whether it is already on the internet, I type in one of my main keywords, and there it is. In fact, it was number 3 on the first page of Google. Despite the fact that I have done this numerous times, it still amazes me how quickly your video can show up on the first page of Google.
